Darlington High School names Pierre Brown varsity boys’ soccer coach

Pierre BrownDARLINGTON, S.C. – Darlington High School recently hired Pierre Brown to be the school’s varsity boys’ soccer head coach. Brown is a fifth grade teacher at West Hartsville Elementary School.

“We are excited to have Mr. Brown join the Falcon family,” said Dr. Greg Harrison, principal of Darlington High School. “He is a great teacher, a great role model for students, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to our athletic programs.”

Brown has several years of coaching experience in other school districts, including basketball and football. He was also named West Hartsville Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year for 2014-15.

“I am elated for the opportunity to be the varsity boys’ soccer head coach at Darlington High School,” Brown said. “This is a chance to share the skills and experience I have from a sport that I love with a great group of student-athletes. I am looking forward to a successful season.”

Brown is a 2003 graduate of West Florence High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University. He holds certification in Elementary Education.
