DARLINGTON, S.C. – The Darlington Middle School boys basketball squad won the Pee Dee Conference championship this season, finishing with a 10-2 conference record.
Led by Jamean Muldrow, Javorius Williams, Malik Cotton, Tre’Quan Scott and Jaheem Robinson, the Falcons finished the season with a 16-4 overall record and won their second conference title in a row. Head coach Andre’ Hooks praised the team for its effort and dedication, especially in replacing most of the players from last year’s team.
“This year’s team had a tough goal of winning back-to-back championships,” Hooks said. “This goal was set during summer before we hit camp, since we lost 11 players from last year’s championship team, which only lost two games. I would also like to thank Principal Eddie Shuler, School Resource Officer Michael Hamlin Sr. and Assistant Principal Sherone Hough, as well as assistant coaches Woodrow Lucky, Cleveland Keith and Jalin Coe. We could not have done this without them.”
The Darlington Middle School boys basketball team includes Brian Robinson, Brian Richardson, Brian Boatwright, Johnathan Cannon, Jonah Ham, Javorius Williams, Jaheem Robinson, Tylieke Easterling, Shirvy Davis, Ty’Reik Byrd, Tre’Quan Scott, Jamean Muldrow, Malik Cotton, Kyrese Polk, Jacquez Brown, Brandon Jackson and Adrian Pooler.
