Located in the HR Department of the
DCSD Administrative Building, the Records Department stores 75 years of
inactive student records for individuals who attended school in Darlington
County School District. We are located directly across the street from the
Post Office in Darlington, SC and behind Darlington High School.
If you are in need of your school records for any reason, please read all of
the instructions below. Please note that we do not
store records for private/community schools in Darlington County.

How to Request
a Transcript/School Records
1. Download and complete the Darlington County
School District Transcript
Request Form

Use a request form provided to
you by another agency. If not already listed on the
form, include the following information:
» Full name while enrolled in school
» Current phone number
» Birth date and SSN
» Last year of attendance/graduation year
»
Last school attended
» Your handwritten signature (no electronic signatures accepted)
2. Attach a $5 NON-REFUNDABLE
research fee:
Check or money order payable to DCSD or cash -- No debit/credit cards accepted. Any requests sent without the fee will be returned to the sender. Mail the completed form and the $5 fee to:

Applying In-person - You may come to the
district office anytime during normal business hours to fill out a
Transcript Request Form. You will need to pay the $5 fee
when submitting the form. Please stop at the
receptionist desk when entering the building to complete the form. Normal
business hours are M - Th: 8 AM - 5 PM, Fri: til 4:30 PM.
There is a processing time period (see Additional Information below).
Transcript Pick-up - If
you would like to pick-up your transcript after it's
processed, write "pick-up" on the request form along with a
contact number. You will receive a phone call when your
transcript is ready for pick-up. A transcript will not be
released to anyone except the student, unless appropriately requested in
writing by the student.

Processing Time
|
Allow a minimum of ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days to process your request. This processing time may be shorter or longer depending on the volume of requests. |

Recent Graduates/Attendees
|
If you graduated or withdrew from school within the last two (2) to three (3) years, check with the last school to see if your records are still available from there before submitting a request to the Records Department. The Records Department stores older, inactive records, but these dates vary per school. |
